every time I go into games shop this stares at me as GOW has got me into third party shooters with a vengance, also just love the shooting levels of GTA so much.

Just wondering if anyones played this and if so do you feel it's worth a punt?

I rented it due to the recommendations from the members on this site,,,,and it's definitely not worth the purchase,,,,the game is not fun at alllllllll,,,,,graphics are good ,story is crap,game play is mediocre to crap.Definitely rent it first.

i rented this game around 2 weeks ago.... its a DECENT rent. The game looks really good, almost on par with Gears of War. It uses another Engine, and i noticed NO FRAMERATE issues during the single player. The Story is crap, so don't bother to understand it. The character designs are dull, but the bosses are kinda cool. The Gameplay feels a lot more like RE4 than Gears of War in my opinion. I hated the fact that you did not have access to the powerups @ any given time. The game is linear as fuck.... go to point A to B. The boss battles are probably the only thing thats good about the game. Oh and one more thing, the game is a cakewalk, i had no trouble beating the game on brutal difficulty in under 5 hours, true story. Add the fact that it has no CO-OP, and that the ONLINE modes are really gay, and no one plays. So yeah that was my bashing. On a positive note, it is the closest game to a RE4, so if you liked it, rent it. You might enjoy the first four or five missions, but the game gets BORING by act 7.
