hope youre right still you know what they say live in hope die in despair.
sony has a lot of catching up to do.

You are so......
I hope they DO make the same mistakes. I hope there is another technological dream machine where the dev technology wont even be fully achieved until the end of the generation.
Cost them this gen?
They introduced and won the hd format war which will reap more benefits in the long run than their games division ever could.
Sure they could have introduced a computer with computer games (360), or abandoned the Sony image of high quality electronics which tie into one another, and make a nintendo like system... but they didnt. And I applaud that.
This is Sony.
The vision is there, and time will show that the PS3 is (in the consumers eyes) the farthest thing from a mistake ever.
The PS4 will hopefully maintain the Sony image, as the PS3 has.... and continue to deliver state of the art technology at a loss to the manufacturer..(because the consumer benefits the most) instead of selling out for the almighty dollar, the way the other two console manufacturers seem to have done.

There's no attack, but you're discussing mistakes that have been known for 2 years now. This is the time when Sony gets back on their feet. This is like pointing out how evil Hitler was. I mean, we already know.

I wouldn't say Sony's mistakes are even remotely that obvious. I mean to this place Sony's mistakes are known, but it's still comparing apples to moldy apples, that killed millions of people.

Well, I would think so. Anyone knowledgable on either subject wouldn't have a problem pointing things out. Sony priced the PS3 way out of conventional standards, at least by systems that sold well. Only the PC could sell at a price point like that.
And not only that, the Sony fanbase isn't so loyal that they'll tolerate Sony's arrogance. We're not talking about Apple here

Yes, but are microsoft really going to sell an 7 disc version of one game....?
How much would it cost to convert a Blu ray game onto that many dvds anyway!?

Any proof the game would be that large (on the 360, not the PS3), and would be impossible to make smaller?
And even if, DVD9 costs about a dime to make. And if you mean rewriting the code to fit on multiple discs, I'm not sure. It's not as though developers didn't do it all the time in the PS1 days.
Actually, they did.

Didnt Kojima say MGS4 initially wouldnt fit on 1 blu ray disc?
Blu ray disc storage- 50g
dvd storage- 6-7g
this argument is deemed superflous in the light of kojima not wanting the game on the 360....
