Forums - General - So I'm buying car tomorrow...

...well, I might be buying a car tomorrow.  I'm trading in my car tomorrow for another car that has a bit better gas mileage and can take something other than premium.  I love my current car to death and couldn't imagine being happier driving it, but it's just too expensive.  Plus, last month I had to have A LOT of engine work and from what I hear, once a car starts going downhill it keeps going downhill.

I've narrowed my choices down to 4 cars:

  1. Mini Cooper S
  2. Audi A3
  3. Audi A4
  4. Honda Accord

I like all how all four look and I've driven an A4 and Accord before and love them but I don't know a lot about the A3 or mini.  The A4 might be a little high for me and I love  the Accord but it's what the fiance drives and I really don't want to be that couple with his and hers cars.

So does anyone have any experience with A3's or Mini's and can tell me if they're good or not?  Or perhaps does anyone know of a good place I can find reviews of those cars?

You really can't beat a Mini Cooper. An Accord is a good car (its what I drive now) but it hardly stands out and there's nothing remarkable about it... it also doesn't get very good gas mileage. You should get the Mini Cooper.

Yeah, I LOVE how mini's look but I'm just not sure about how small they are. They only have two doors which breaks one of my biggest rules (I must have four doors) but I'm willing to break that because I love their look.

How does the Mini drive?

Also, what year is your Accord? My fiance's is an 08 and it gets good mileage. I like how they drive and I like how they look, I just don't want to be that couple and I'll only get that car as a last resort. :-p

Your current car is an S3, no? Out of your choices the A4 or the Mini.

I know it's not on your list but I'd recommend the new Mazda 6 over those.
I've driven one recently and it's an incredibly well crafted car. Best small sedan on the market.

 It's a 2002 S4 and a very long story how I got a hold of that car.

If I could afford another S4 I would love to get another.  I actually haven't looked much at Mazda's and I think I like the look of the Mazda 6.  If I have time tomorrow I think the Mazda dealership should be near the Mini dealership so I might have myself a look.

of those go with the Cooper

my own suggestion: Subaru Impreza WRX

damn twesterm is balling ....I would also go with a Mini turbo charge of course :) those thing are beast controls well and fast too. WRX, Lancer Evo, and BMW M3 would be my other choices if I had the money >.>

Ugh, can't stand BMW's and I've never been a huge Lancer fan (mainly because I hate spoilers and they would look even sillier without one). Not so sure what a WRX is.

Whatever the case, it's gonna be one of the four cars above more than likely if I do end up finding one tomorrow. It's the end of the month and Memorial Day so should be a good day for car shopping.

Mustang

or

Corvette
