This is just an opinion question for you guys. I think that Brawl will outsell Mgs4 lifetime by a large amount, but I see people making these HUGE Mgs4 predictions for its opening day, and week. Some even think 1 mil on 1st day is possible, like Brawl. (which scored 1.7 mil on 1st day and may be higher with the Others launch.) What do you see? I see Brawl around 11 mil honestly, as it will be a game that will sell with large Wii supplies, like Galaxy. I see Mgs4 sitting pretty though at 4.5-5 mil lifetime. What about you guys?

Based on sales of MGS1 and 2 I see MGS4 selling 6-7 million in its lifetime. I think Brawl will outsell it though in the long run because Brawl appeals to a much wider audiance.

Brawl would trounce it regardless of userbase.

The Smash Bros series just has way more appeal in America and Japan than Metal Gear Solid will ever have.

True story

Though ironically MGS1 outside SSB and MGS2 outsold SSBM each by about a million.

The Konami hype machine can do wonders and is much more powerful than the hype Nintendo builds for their games. MGS4's budget has already surpassed 80 million, it would be expected that they will push this game VERY heavily. 

Some people (bless their hearts) are willing to completely ignore past sales data and trends just because they're so enveloped in the hype of their game. Frankly, if you form a question everytime you heard an opinion from someone on this site, than you're going to have pretty dumb questions.

Eh, Dtg, doesn't that seem on a console with a less than 20 mil userbase at the moment a little optimistically, compared with the predecessors on 2 consoles that reached 100mil?
