well, you know what people say about opinions. I felt FF8's had a great balance of powerful themes and memorable ballads (especially them). They were also a perfect fit as background music imo.

Anyway my intention of this thread wasn't to compare entire soundtracks, but single classical pieces.

I don't know how anyone could dislike the classical music in those games...

Chrono Cross was a poor sequel to Chrono Trigger, but it had some great music.

Whether you like halo or not you cant deny the theme is the best thing rver written for a game. Absolutely the most Epic game music ever. Listen to entire piece. Oh I do Love this.

I do not deny it's the best thing rver written for a game. I don't think many things have been rver written for games. I take strong issue with the idea that it has to be the best thing "ever" written for a game though, and you certainly shouldn't be insulting the opinions of others.

MGS theme song: Amazing song, I never remembered it to be so good. WotLK's title music still beats it.

Chrono Trigger: it's very good, but only that.

Halo: didn't like it much.

Halo has some great music. I don't find it the best, but it is great. Saying I have no taste because that's my opinion might ne a little harsh.

 Seinor, did you listen to the MGS music posted? If you did, what did you think of it?

Seinor, did you listen to the MGS music posted? If you did, what did you think of it?

 

 First of all, I edited my post.  OT. Yeah MGS music was very good, I forgot how good it was to. Being entire orchestra was great. Not quite enough of a memorable melody though, more sounds like trailer music. But still good. Listening through the ones so far, Halo is only one that gives me shivers down my spine.
