"struggling"?  Really? 

I see no struggle here.  In fact, the PS3 is beating the 360 harder in Europe than the Wii is beating the 360 in America. 

Is the Wii "struggling" to beat the 360 in America?

I love how in one sentence Microsoft states the importance of attach ratios while in the next they state how they outsold Sony's version of GTA4 by 20%. But who has the higher attach ratio?

They are such blatant hypocrites and it never seizes to amaze me. As long as it's noticed I'm happy for they can chip away at their own validity.

i like how wii doesn't count in the next gen hardware sales but counts in next gen attach rates

Really? I don't know this. Please explain, how is it that the Dual Shock is better than the 360 pad for pro evo? Because it seems to me that they are exactly the same.

It seems they are talking about WW figures and also just UK figures where GTA360 outsold GTAPS3 by 20%. Now we look at Sony PR.

This is interesting, they are including every other market apart from NA and Japan in which they claim to outsold 360. Well what to believe? I think going by latest figures of shipped consoles PS3 is 6.15 million units behind 360 so we should wait another 2 months before we can be sure of anything.


 

The definition for Europe was pretty strange. Next year North-America is in Europe too and by 2012 Antarctis is part of Europe. Russia is often counted as part of Europe, so that's ok. So it seems that 360 still has the lead in Europe, since the numbers were 360 Europe vs. PS3 WW outside of Americas, Australia+NZ, China and Japan. Edit: I believe the PS3 numbers are pretty much in line with VGC:s current 5,66M Others number.

There is no SCE-WesternAsia, or SCE-Africa, so their definition makes sense. Their definition is basically all of the territories SCEE is responsible for.

If PS3 isn't ahead of 360 now, it will be sooner or later. It doesn't really matter how much the MS PRs try to spin.

Many big International Corp. use this EMEA thing (acronym for Europe Middle East Africa). The others are usually AMER (Americas) and APAC (Asia and Pacific).
It is funny Sony is using it to spin their sale numbers...
