Sadly games don't push sales as much as we hope. It's a lot of these X fators. Some are obvious like price, others are not, like gaame drought or lack of 3rd party support.

I think Sony just relied to much on their past success and didn't look at the "what if"s.

The new number is 7:1 for June. Maybe even 8:1.

As you can see, the left represents Sony between 2001-mid 2006. But the right represents December of 2006 with Nintendo entering the market.

This debate is moot after this. The bucket has spoken.

I think this is a more accurate representation (even using Gballzack's analogy of consoles =)

If Sony managed to keep a large no of 3rd party game developers for another 12 months or so, then PS3 can and will come back. But PS3 will NOT be dominating like PS/PS2 and most probably won't win this console war.

And it will be a really tough battle for Sony when they release PS4.

I can`t imagine gamers, which will ignore so many amazing PS3 exclusive games, like Lair, HS, NGS, R&C, LBP, Uncharted, Tekken6, Folklore, Motorstorm, Resistance, MGS4, 8 days, Afrika, WKS, FFXIII, FFXIIIv, Killzone2, Getaway, GT5, GoW3 and etc.


 

CrazzyMan has been using variations on this line so often that I want to archive it in my sig and can keep track of his predictions.  Anyone know how to add sigs to profiles?

Lair, HS, NGS, R&C, LBP, Uncharted, Tekken6, Folklore, Motorstorm, Resistance, MGS4, 8 days, Afrika, WKS, FFXIII, FFXIIIv, Killzone2, Getaway, GT5, GoW3 and etc.

Funny, I will ignore every single title you´ve just listed, expect maybe for Uncharted. But no way I´m getting a PS3 for it.
