Haha! This is one Zaaaaanny 'generation' amriiteguys? =3
When people aren't ignorant and they do something that seems just... out there it's either the person who is viewing that action and saying "wow that's out there." Is ignorant or the person preforming his act is retarded or at least is doing something that involves 'a' retarded cog in the entire action.
Maybe the OP is missing some bit of info, maybe they just decided that after 10 years it's time for this game to go - it could be as simple as that.
If that's the case they would need cooperative efforts by many reviewers to do their job I guess and rereview a game every 5 years to see how it stood up in 'legacy' to the other games on those new platforms.
I can tell you right now, OoT is quit enjoyable 10/10 to this day... no 9/10 yes... but then again I've played the entire game of OoT over and over while GTAIV I've played for 3 hours and deem it a 7/10 (around there anyway) This translated clearly means I have more tools to take away points from for OoT yet it would only come down to a 9/10 if I got really harsh.
Note I did say 'legacy'above so clearly when reviewing these games I automatically absorb what credit graphically it was hailed for in the time of release and work with it's other strengths to find weaknesses within them that reshaped the genre. Because if it got a 10/10 that probably means the genre clearly wouldn't be the way it is without it.
I'm Unamerica and you can too.
The Official Huge Monster Hunter Thread:
OoT can be put back on top of the rankings- it means very little to me personally. Now we have one million forum threads on game sites complaining their world is coming to an end because OoT is not on the biased Gamerankings top place. Get over it people. You need to get a life and stop bitching about OoT.
Proud to be a zelda franchise lover so great this game; Ocarina of Time still number one.
I agree, who cares about ranking. Lets just look at the top 10 and just go, WOW these games are great and be happy we were able to play them. I don't even go to gamerankings much, probably like 2 times a year lol. So who cares what they post. Its not like its affecting anyone. And if you're checking that site daily to see if the ranking changes... man you got some issues hahaha.
| Aprisaiden said: OMG they removed ANOTHER review ... Must say i wish Gameranking wouldn't do this and also wouldn't rank games ... i mean the site is great to look at a collective group of reviewers and from that generate a much more accurate view of the game ( rather than a single review ... ) but serriously -- if their going to be biased i doubt many people will use them .. |
This is a joke right? The first time one of the sites they link changed there score and it had nothing to do with GameRankings, and this time it's because MGS has only 1 review so far (a 10). That game will drop.
On a side note, I think telling every hard working developer that everything they have done in the last 10 years is worse then a N64 game, is more a slap in the face.
We should be excited that new content is coming out that rivals this game in quality, not be upset about it.
Well since the number of counted reviews was dropped, I think we can safely blame gamerankings for this, and not the review sites.
Now why did they drop that one review? I really hope it's a good reason. If it was just to keep OoT on top, then I'll hang my head in shame for them.

In my case, it's the inconsistancy, and the switching around. They should stand by their numbers (unless proven false).
