Forums - Gaming - How did you discover gaming?

Im just curious as to how people first became gamers, was it a particular console, my first one was a Sega Master System 2 with 1 game - asterix or was it a particular game, my first heavily played game was Unreal Tournament.

Basically the title says it all!

My first experience of videogames was of the arcades at the local dairy. My first console was also the Master System. The first games I ever played on it were Rampage and Double Dragon.

My first console was the Sega Genesis, and I got it with a wierd monkey game. It was like Mario, but you fired "balls" out of your mouth.
I'll look up the name at the database

Work in progress for now...

I was young and in school and I saw this attractive young girl sitting accross the room ... Oh wait, that's how I discovered something else.

When I was a child my father came home from a business trip to the states and he brought home a Collecovision as a gift for me and my siblings; a couple of years after that he decided to replace our typewriter with a PC. From that point on I think I have always juggled between being a console and a PC gamer.

Doom on the Genesis? I didn't realise a Genesis version was made. It must have looked like crap lol. Did you ever play Zero Tolerance?. It was a first person shooter on the Mega Drive. Given the lack of sprite scaling and rotation capabilities, first person shooters were not very suitable for that system.

Pong.

That wouldn't be Toki would it? I was quite a fan of the arcade version.
