Forums - Microsoft - Falcon 360s reliable as pocket calculators?

From the Neogaf thread. "In the figures so far are 1207 dead / replaced 360s, 6 of which were falcon models. Of the falcon models that have broken; 4 were from drive issues (oddly all present at purchase) and 2 were from video problems (image stops displaying)" RROD = Over? 1200Xbox360s died, but only 6 falcons! 0.5% of the dead units were falcons 0% were from RROD.

Thats a very small sample of people but its still a great sign. I hope Microsoft can make the 360 even more reliable whenever they release a new SKU.

Since it showed drive failures and rendering problems. Im pretty sure once Jasper comes out, reliability will be as rock solid as you can expect from any consumer electronics device.

Thats good, but the conscious will always be 360=RROD imo.

I think the only way microsoft is going to get rid of people associating the 360 with RROD is to design a totally new model of the 360 that looks totally different to the current ones. Hopefully its coming soon, i got an elite and its fine, but i'l probably get a newer version too.

I think it would still be there, just decreased to almost nothing.

Yeah, as much as it may be true; consumers want a new 360 slimline before they believe that it will not RRoD. IMO people are just too afraid of the 360 original model HDMI or not. Heck, I'm even too scared to ever get a 360, cuz i would think it would die on me eventually.

How would you feel if Microsoft did a spec up and put Wireless and a larger HDD in the PRO SKU. Would that help seperate RROD from the console?
