That's it. The NES killed arcade gaming (except in japan), and now the wii is killing cinematic gaming.

Well, seriously, what I mean by that is that this new round of bringing video gaming into the mainstream is the quality that is defining the "next gen".

I think Reggie & Maria can explain it better. 

 hrm,if you are saying NES was a bad thing for the gaming industry.. and are saying it is comparitively as bad as what the wii is doing to the industry.. i can conclude from that that gaming is about to get a whole lot better

i have been wrong about this generation since the beginning. I really never expected the wii to be such a force and non-games to sell so much. But seeing that now, i must admit that wiifit is a good thing because it will drive the other consoles to try differenttypes of games and forcing them move foward not just on graphics but gameplay as well.

I feel better now. I' m done with the accepting stage.

Nope, I actually think those changes are for the better

WII Fit bringing family together? You're kidding right? I've never seen the gym doing that. How dare people to think I don't know the definition of gaming, this is not gaming, this excercising entertainment. Its not like I visit the gym and say.. lets play a game! Its not like I'm standing on my yoga mat doing some stretching and say... I'm gaming! I never see my mom and dad doing WII Fit as they were almost pulking when they saw the Wii Fit commercial and said literally... translated: what's that for something stupid. I didn't have the heart to tell its from the very same company that created Mario Galaxy on the WII and oh boy they've never heard about Mario before but do they know now who he is.... And putting my grandma on the balance board is asking for breaking a hip or 2. Wii Fit is simply created as the media is so much nagging about the fact we have to care about our bodies, loose weight and look awesome. Wii Fit just happens to "fit" perfectly in the profile of the modern society, Ninty knows that.

 And it will work.

who cares? there is only one real question: is it good?... and I can tell you, me and my mates ain't playing it. you talk like this is a good evolution for the 'real gamers', but I want good games, not this kind of non-games.. how innovative or well designed they may be.. this is girl and non-gamer stuff..

If this is a game, and you play it, you are a gamer. So no.

Supposedly, the end of gaming as we know it comes on May 20th, and the dust will settles May 24th. At least I got to play great games................
