This I believe without doubt is the best generation yet for the videogame industry. We have the wii getting people who have never played a video game before into gaming. We have the PS3 with blu- ray and how its changing the way we watch movies. We have the X360 and the way its changing how we play and download stuff online with our videogame consles.  So i hope that this will continue throught the years of this generation and the next and I hope that we will see more and more people get into videogames.

I loved the 4th gen more, but this is my second favorite.

yep best generation for PC. Over 50 exclusive titles.

best gen ever, Wii = Fun new gameplay, PS3 = Blu-Ray and more great exclusives, like Resistance, X360 = Live is getting better all the time and Gears of War, PC = Lots of good new games, Gears (again) and Medieval 2 are 2 highlights for me so far.

Excellent! Everything is just getting better and more balanced than others generations.

Yeah, it's the most diverse and enhanced gen to date (as would be expected considering technology is getting better). Gameplay improves, graphics improve, everyone wins, plus we aren't dealing with a runaway like the 6th gen so there is pressure on each system to pull out it's best.

This generation has something for everyone - hardcore, casual, male, female, kids, adults and grandparents alike. The market has clearly grown, and is more diverse than ever before. At this stage I would still rate the fifth generation as the best - the shift from 2d to 3d was quite revolutionary. However, thus far I believe we have only seen a fraction of what this generation is capable of.
