I already showed you numbers.  I made an expansive post with numbers and sources.  You chose to ignore that, and I've run out of patience.

Oh, and watch the language and insults.

Naz this is Console VS PC. Quit trying to avoid that.

Hrmm, I concede your point. Joining a server from an instant message should be possible with a changing of a disc on consoles. I have in no way described all the features of Steam though. If you do have interest in them let me know and I'll break down all the advantages (and setbacks) for you.
That would be nice but you don't have to do that. I could probably find it all out pretty quickly on my own ... right?
Eh, yes and no. I'm not sure you can click something and get an organized list of steam's features, advantages, and disadvantages (especially when it's constantly updating and adding new features). But, if you are willing to do the reading, obviously the information is available in various forms. Just not well organized.
Well for a decent overview there's always Wikipedia.  (Thinking of that site reminded me of a quote from a book:  "Sure he's honest.  You just have to watch him.")

The one thing that stood out to me as inseperable from DD was the ability to log in anywhere and play, provided you download the game to the computer you're at if it's not already there.  (Can multiple users "share" a game or do they all need to download separately?  The former would make more sense but you never know.)  The game update feature, it seems to me, basically already exists on consoles, on a game-by-game, voluntary basis.  Mods, of course, are consoles' Achilles' heel, and I freely admit that I don't know enough about them to speculate on whether DD for mods on a mainly non-DD console would get too unwieldy (big).

My advice to fanboys: Brag about stuff that's true, not about stuff that's false. Predict stuff that's likely, not stuff that's unlikely. You will be happier, and we will be happier.

I have the most epic death scene ever in VGChartz Mafia.  Thanks WordsofWisdom!

In b4 Wii is not competing with the 360/PS3, the Wii is competing with the PC/MAC

Bejeweled sells 10 million copies http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/technology/7301374.stm

WOW reaches 10 million subscribers http://www.blizzard.com/us/press/080122.html?rhtml=y

World of Warcraft Burning Crusade sells 3.5 million http://au.gamespot.com/news/6166937.html

Crysis sells 1 million (might I add it sold poorly in the us) http://www.incrysis.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=612

Unreal Tournament 3 reaches 1 million (look at VG chartz data, if its sold 1 million it must have sold more on PC) http://kotaku.com/366847/ut3-sells-1-million-copies-better-late-than-never

Guildwars sells 5 million copies http://kotaku.com/360847/guild-wars-sells-5-million

The Sims sells 100 million http://abcnews.go.com/Technology/wireStory?id=4667284

The Witcher sells 1 million http://www.n4g.com/News-81964.aspx

How can PC gaming be dying? When all these games are selling really really well. Notice how they're all from different genre's, casual, hardcore, RPG, simulation, FPS etc. Notice also that a lot of old pc games are still selling, PC games have great legs. But the new ones are selling very well aswell. I mean crysis with its stupid system requirements sold over a million copies world wide and UT3 sold more on pc then console.
