Forums - General - 3 things to improve your skill at gaming

I've been thinking of a few general-purpose kinds of things to improve your skill at gaming.  Here are a few in no particular order:

1.  Caffeine-  A quick cup o Joe starts the day off great.  But, it will offer some benefits as a cognitive aid as well such as quicker thinking and better cognition in general.  It will also improve memory, etc. So get juiced up, and grab a red bull or three and get that mental edge over the next guy aiming for you on Halo 3.

2.  Cogmed-  One of the most crucial aspects of intelligence is your working memory, in fact it has recently been theorized that intelligence is more of a factor of memory than anything else that you could point to.  This is where Cogmed comes in.  For just $1500 ( didn't say that it wouldn't be cheap) you can take some brain-age like tests to exercise your working memory, get coaching, and read some FYI type of literature to get you into the theory of how you can improve things.   Heck, they have scientific proof that their techniques work, so get your dad to pump some money in if you can't!

3.  Play multiplayer whenever possible-  Singleplayer is good to get a good base at a game, but multiplayer is where you learn to differentiate yourself from the common pack.  Multiplayers learn others tricks and due to them actually playing a person, can better strategize, and trick other players.  Learn other peoples tricks.

I'm going to try to steer this thread into a more humane discussion after the "obieslut" , and btw what the heck is up w/ that username, started  derailing this thead.

Questions for the general audience:

1. What aspects of gaming are the most important to improve, and why?

2. Have there ever been games that you feel are "unbeatable" and have later won? What did you do to get up the courage needed to win the game?

I day derail your thread, you did that by asking a next question and i will have you know my username is brilliant lol.

Graphics, i like things to run nice and smooth pluss also looks good, i can not play a game untill the end with crap graphics unless its calles Mario or SONIC.

Yh man that stupid GTA game. i could not get past the bie mission. i tried for time then gave up on the game, then i played it like half a yer later and done it, dont ask me how it was a fluke
