This sounds pretty cool.
You probably need to login first, so you put your account info into the game, and then just upload. I have IMovie in the Mac, it has a one click youtube upload feature. I would assume it uses the same API.
So it's sort of like the recorded videos in Halo 3 and how you can upload them? I think it's a great idea if it's something similar.

It's whatever developers want to do with it. This above would be a good example.
I could seem the using it for Home as well. All the videos you put in your house for example, would be on youtube, so when you have friends that come over, they watch them at higher speeds then you having to stream the video to them. Upload speeds are often horrible for residential connectivity.
firmware 2.40 is going to be more then in-game xmb, I can tell.

Man, Sony is only getting started with this generation.
Fucking awesome. Just... fucking awesome.
Sony will prevail. My 60 gig says so.

Wow, thats pretty awsome actually. Hopefully some big games take advantage and the devs add this feature (R2, LBP, Killzone). |
Lets just see sony finish those games already and worry about SDK/Youtube stuff sometime later...
It is a very cool idea though.
If anyone has noticed, when you go to click on the PS3 web browser it now has links to youtube, flickr, and other sharing sites.
that is probably old news, but Sony is getting it together finally.
I see them continuously adding new features like this throughout the life-cycle of the PS3.
