The bait was wrapped in hundred dollar bills.
I can understand when somebody who's not actively part of the industry draws conclusions based upon results instead of process. But when a major company relies on results over process for their PR spins, that does not bode well for their future. Sega did the same sort of thing during the Saturn and DreamCast years, trying to bank on past results reflecting their success instead of improving process to ensure success. See how well that worked for them.
