If at first you don't succeed, you fail

I probably would have (like many) pointed and laughed at it...and then maybe made a quick sign and put it up pointing out the problem in big letters. I mean things are funnier when they are in stores, I'd do the same if a manikin in a store had a top on backwards or something...

Hmm, pie.

Here in Genoa I've never seen such behaviours: when the demo consoles are working (and often they aren't, as clerks are underpaid and overloaded with work, so either they don't have enough time to check everything or, given the opportunity, they couldn't care less) they are crowded with kids, but nobody cares about what console others are playing on, although PS3 receives more positive verbal appraisals, as in Italy Sony has a very strong image and previous products apreciation, especially for PS2, trinitron TV's, cameras, walkmans and other audio and video devices has a positive influence on whatever Sony does. I'm not a big fan of Sony, except for optical drives, but I must admit that at least for reliability it deserves its fame and at least here in Genoa (I don't know in other towns) it has one of the best tech supports, on a par with Philips.

As I see it here in Holland, the consolewars are only here to the guys online. Most people, wether it's in school, in a bar, or in a gamestore even couldn't care less about any competition. Which is also quite a shame as most people do not view other options...

I just came back from Gamestop and this guy talking nasaly walks in and wants a chess game for his DS, and laughs and makes a coment about the 360 demo and GTAIV. Yes it was red ringed, This guy, in his 30's was bad mouthing the system. I couldn't help to think of VGCHARTZ.

Question, does anyone beligerantly knock on a system in public?? This is the first time I have encountered this attitude.

Um..who wouldn't laugh at a demo unit of anything (gaming or not) screwing up while on display.. that is really poor for what is supposed to be advertising a product and deserves to be laughed at..

eg. i go into a computer store (and i'm a happy microsoft windows user) and see a Blue Screen of Death, i laugh and even point it out to people around me (the people with me, but i make it noticable for others to get what i'm laughing at so they can have a laugh too).. its just a funny thing to see an advertisement doing worse for the product than good

Hey! Easy with the reply button. Don't get too frisky!

I bet the guy who was bashing the 360 in store was either a Sony fan boy or a Nintendo fan boy who unfortunately experienced a RROD 360 that was no longer covered under warranty. Doh.

Ummmm... any RROD 360 would still be under warranty until the end of this year.

The dedication you show to any particular console or company is inversely proportional to the number of times you have gotten laid. If you get laid enough, even if you prefer a certain brand, you just don't give enough of a shit to argue about it on the internet.
