Forums - General - Should I sell my Wii?

I've had my Wii since launch, and only own 2 games for it besides Wii Sports. I have propably spent 95% of my playing time on 360, which seems to get good releases all time. Last game I bought for Wii and played was Metroid Prime 3 when it was released. I only use it rarely when I want to try out my old GC-games, or random surf on internet. There aren't even really games coming out that interests me. There is SSBB what I would like to play, but I'm still mad that Nintendo screwed us in Europe. It still haven't been released, when americans have been playing it for 2 months already...This seems so wrong, especially when Europe seems to be Wii's most important market at the moment.

So what do you think, should I sell my Wii to someone who would have better use for it or should i still keep it? Is there games or something else that would convince me to keep it?

I don't bother listing my last-gen games (PS2, Xbox, GC) to my collection cause there's too many of them. ;)

You'll regret it if you sell it... Wii is THE BLAST!!

Is your "Games Owned" profile complete for this generation?

If so... I'd just sell it.

If your going to own so few games it seems kinda pointless to stay dual ownership.

No.

Not to be spamming, don't sell your Wii, and don't even think about selling it because of ''Nintendo screwed you''. Believe me, as a fellow European I know how it feels, but with games like Super Mario Galaxy I can't think about letting any console take priority over my Wii, not even my 360.
And June 6th, I will be playing Brawl ánd Õkami!!! That's when my local game store has both of them released; can't wait.

It all depends on certain factors. What gametypes do you like? What do you already own besides Metroid? Do you still have you're gamecube? What is the price you can fetch for it and what will you do with the money?

Yes, if you feel you're not getting your money's worth, then sell it.

The good games are just coming out. Why sell it now? You still have many released games to get too. I would hold off until I've played all of the good games If I were you.

I could go off listing tons of games you missed on the wii but that would be useless. I can't believe you missed out on Mario Galaxy and Mario Kart Wii. I would at least give those 2 games a try before ditching it.

If you drop a PS3 right on top of a Wii, it would definitely defeat it. Not so sure about the Xbox360. - mancandy

So many questions. ;) I like almost every type of games excluding sports games. Not really big fan of RPG games either, but they're ok. Besides Metroid, only have Re4 for Wii. I still have my Gamecube. I don't really know how much I would get money for it. I have even been planning to buy PS3, but not sure of it yet.

And yes, a list of my games is complete for current consoles. As a comparison, I have bought over 20 games to my 360, though currently own only 7 games for it. I got both consoles on launch.

The reason you never use it is because you have only bought 2 games. Try a couple Wii games and see what you think. You might want to at least wait until E3 to see if Nintendo announces some awesome game you really, really want.
