I am deep into a side quest that has far more depth then I thought it would.

I have another one going that seems to be rather complex. It's hard to tell what's side quest and what's the main plot line, the side quests are done so well.

If you skip doing all the jobs for the secondary players, you're missing out on a lot of the game.

GTA4 is a lot more then I expected from R*. Good job on a great game!

P.S. Online play has been a blast as well... nothing like watch someone turn a corner thinking your on foot, to roll over your windshield at 40 mph :) 

Right before I started GTA, I played Bully, which was a brilliant game and it gave me a 1000G in my gamerscore.
Probably that was the reason that i was REALLY disappointed in the first 3-4 hours in GTA.
Now, its all gone. The most story driven GTA, has taken my mind.
This GTA, doesnt allow you to stop following the missions and go bullet crazy. And yes, side missions, they are SO part of the game, you dont fell youre doing a side mission. And the City. SO ALIVE!
Man, i don't know what to say about this game...
I already cant wait for August...

 What's in August? 360 dlc?

Try and mess around with game a lot and find some cool glitches.

I hope so. Everything else besides a new story (not so big of course but, anyway, fingers crossed) will be a MAJOR letdown.

 I have the PS3 version. I wonder what R* is planing for DLC? I know they have an exclusive deal with MS, but it could be something that they release on both, just timed, or they could release something huge on both at the same time, yet offer a little more on the 360.

I have a 360 as well, so worse case is I get the 360 version for the DLC if it's really that much better then the PS3.

Right now however, I have a lot to do before I get to the point of caring :) 

I agree with you 100% about this game. this is actually my first GTA believe it or not and i am deeply immersed within the games world myself. big props to R* on such a wonderful game. i have never played bully and am thinking about maybe purchasing it but i am still on the fence about it.

Well, I'm about 10 hours in and I'm still waiting for the game to really impress me. I don't like the fact that it occasionally doesn't play by it's own rules, and all the relationship maintenance is really annoying. I feel like I'm playing The Sims or something. And I don't like The Sims.

Well of course! Its not some wii game that you get sick after two days

 i have a ps3 and i've been playing for around 6 hours and i havent even started a single mission hahahaha!!! as of now, i could care less for dlc. but if its a must have i could always go out and buy a 360 by xmas (and hopefully jasper would be out by then)
