Rare is the latest victim of online leaks, as screenshots of their new games Banjo Kazooie 3 and Viva Pinata have been leaked to the Internet a day ahead of schedule.

Now Rare is attempting to clear the speculation circling many large gaming message boards, proporting that the new Banjo Kazooie game will be a racer.

"Reading some of the comments, it's nice to see that people think the game is quite pretty, but its definitely not a racer, which is what some people think it is," said Rare's George Kelion. "You're better off waiting until tomorrow, when we reveal what is for us the most spectacular feature of the game, which is the gameplay mechanic."

 

"There's some really good stuff coming through the pipeline... try not to jump to any conclusions, because the surprise is still yet to be revealed."

 

Expect full impressions tomorrow when Microsoft's gamer's day officially kicks off. But for now, take a look at some of the pretty screenshots.

It is a shame that BK 3 is not on the Nintendo Wii. The first two BK games were on the N64. BK 3 on the 360 is like a fish out of water.

So either you've played it or you have no idea what you're talking about. Perhaps it might be best to wait until people have played it before you contribute your superficial analysis.

I love Banjo and Kazooie. However, the characters look horrible and it looks too much like R&C (Which I played and hated)

Seeing all that mechanical stuff makes me worry for the game. Having to hear about the gameplay mechanic which will be a "surprise" seems like they moved the series in a complete direction from 1&2 which can't be good imo...
