You and I have very different views on the world. As far as war goes, take a look at all the wars of the last few hundred years. http://www.warscholar.com/Timeline.html. The USA is in very few of them. The USA did not start WWII or WWI. War was declared on us both times. We entered Vietnam after the French lost there. We entered Afghanistan after the Russians bombed the shit out of them for 20 years. War is everywhere, and not something the USA has any monopoly on. As for the economy, the US is the only government I know of where the only thing keep you from being successful, is yourself. There is no class system here. If you are born a poor black kid, or a rich white kid, the law treats you the same. Every option is open to you. Now with a system like that, the smart can use it to become very rich, but that's the nature of giving people the freedom to succeed or fail. The USA is, in my opinion, the greatest form of government ever conceived. It is a government of laws, and not of men. The first of its kind. |
stop being a bunch of extremists. us hasnt been in many wars, overall fighting in wars has gone down as ageneral trend though. the us could definitely choose better wars (iraq) and execute them better (afghanistan), but no one is perfect although we have a lot of improvement.
us govt sucks, but the system was set up pretty decently. politicians will always try and get more power, us happens to have a lot. i would have to say its surprising that the us has never been authoritarian. the people have a lot of say, but the politicians sneak in a lot of stuff to corrupt the will of the people.
there is a class system, it just isnt enforced. it is very hard but very possible to go from lower class to upper class. no one prevents others from moving up, but the conditions for moving have and will always be stacked against a person.
there is no best govt because a perfect govt for one wont be good for another group. the us would hate being very socialist, but many other places would hate being so capitalist.
