No kidding.  This game is fun, but it is ridiculously over rated.  I could talk about technical problems with the game until I was blue in the face, but the two primary mechanics of the game are the most damning:

(1) The shooting sucks.  The cover system sucks.  It's all been done much better before with other games.

(2) Driving is sub-par.  It's not terrible, but it is by no means good.

Since these two mechanics are used for about 90% of all of the (repetitive) missions, the game ends up mostly being the combination of both.  As GTA shifts toward casual gamers than the likes of Gears of War, Rainbow Six, or better racing games, most of the players probably don't care as much about how it sucks at these two mechanics.

So it's bad a video game made it into the Top 5 rankings?

No game deserves a higher average than 90%.

Well considering SMG was knocked down by some late bad reviews, as did Brawl, this would not be unexpected.

I told you there would be a backlash, other than Nintendo fanboys.

EDIT: Not claiming the game is bad. Just commenting on recent patterns in reviewing.

That was expected, considering GTA:SA and GTA:III got 100 and 79 reviews respectively.

At least this will make the PS3 to have a game in the top 30 games in gamerankings.

I've noticed edge has yet to review it unless I keep on missing it...
