Viva Pinata is one of the funnest, cutest games out there, and is a great niche game if you like the kind of gameplay it brings.
You build a ranch, ala Sim-Farm as a haven for various animal types with colorful pinata-esque shapes, and food for names (like Preztail). Depending on what you add to your farm will determine various pinata types to come to your farm. You have a limited amount of space in which to farm the animals, so you have to manage it very carefully. Not only this, you have to get them to breed via romance minigames (puzzles). Eventually, some types of pinatas can/will eat other types for the circle of life (and in this case, build up a fully developed ecology of herbivores, and carnivores).
Quite in-depth, fun, great graphics, lots of Rare-esque humor, and just a great game.
