yea ps3 games dont get scrached ive rubed my game on the wall and nothing happens too em

have you tryed playing anather game on your 360?

Nice that you can confirm they don't scratch by testing one yourself.

I'm interested in whether a large nail with it's pointy end placed on the surface of a PS3 disk followed by a swift blow using a mallet  to the flat end of the nail has any effect.

 Please report your findings.

damn why my 360 DVD drive has a problem to read the discs.... I beat drop and kick my XBox with DVDs in it spinning... I never got scratches on it.. I mean yeah the usual micro scratch that don't damage the readability of the disc....

although a console is not made to be tilted during its use.... and cleaning the drive helps too... if you have dust in it and the disc is spinning at high speed the dust particles can be a killer for the discs...

but anyway that's why I don't think a support such as discs either BR DVD HD DVD etc.. is a good media... it' life expectancy is way too short IMO

ROFLOL...you guys want some cheese with all this freaking whining? ROFLOL...how much does Sony pay you'll...lol!

blu ray disks are really scratchproof? my cod4 froze on me once though.

That has nothing to do with the BR disc but the GPU.

I actually think it has the most to do with the optical drive just being of better quality (Sony-manufactured Blu-Ray drive in this case).  I bet a bad drive COULD scratch a Blu-Ray disc when you turned it sideways while it was spinning...the disc is spinning really fast and it's possible for the hardware to teh suxxor that badly...it's just that the PS3's BD drive holds the discs steady really well, and so shit doesn't get scratched.

Test: move the PS3 while a common CD is spinning.  Does it get scratched?  No?  Then it's the quality of the optical drive that makes the difference, not the scratch-proof coating on Blu-Rays.  (if the CD *is* scratched, then ok, the BD coating is the difference, maybe.)  Scratch-proof is probably intended to mean: kid-proof.

I was actually refering to the freezing but good analysis.

This has never happened to me.

i feel sorry for you mate. It happened to me with the copy of GOW :(

They have said that if you stand up the 360 while playing games or whatever it can sracth your disc so they said to lay it flat not vertically.

I knocked my 360 over and got a few rings.. now my halo 3 wouldn't play certain maps...

That's the only time my 360 has screwed up a disk, when I bump it. I lost GoW that way.

That's the problem with a 12x DVD that cost 20 bucks to make :(
