Well, although it's not really the point, many of those posts were very aggressive and insulting towards VGChartz.  While I agree ioi's method of obtaining them may have been a bit unfair, the fact remains that there were people calling this site a "test" to prove worth for the other site.  Obviously this sentiment isn't shared by everyone, but surely you can see how ioi would be insulted by that.  Especially when it was made right after doing everything we asked him to do to set up these forums. 

Anyway, that's again not really the point of having a rule against advertising or recruiting for other sites.   Many people have been perma-banned by myself for advertising for their sales websites.  Surely those don't take posts away from VGC.  Do you think that was wrong? You have no right to use ioi's hard work to recruit for a project of your own.

@Elduderino Ben is actually trying to spread information about the game in the same way that I do with my video game previews, but I agree that it could be borderline problematic.

Guys what ioi wants is sec8 to be here, i hope you guys can work out a compromise on how much control he would allow, but i feel it's good we are discussing it, but it derailing somehow.

Nothing is being discussed, we're being threatened.

He has 'no other course but to take action' (Paraphrased), because he doesn't know what happens on Section 8.1.

It's not a discussion, it's an interrogation. We're the perps, and he is the police. He's giving no information, and we're spilling our guts, nothing is being accomplished, except for the fact that ioi has some preconceived notions about our site, and instead of talking about it, is telling us what we're doing.

I'm aware that some of these may have been made by the same insulting person, but surely you can see how these would be insulting to ioi who had done whatever he could to make a space for you guys.

It doesnt have to go that far ioi, before any decision are made , please talked it over with Ken, he will help fix this.

I don't get how the top 2 are insulting VGC either. This Section 8 is too "open", and anyone with >750 posts is welcome. Would we want leo-j here? I see nothing wrong with those posts.

This is the very definition of making things worse.  Shaking a stick and saying "try me" hardly helps things.  If you have no interest in resolving this peacefully then please don't continue this discussion.
