Bottom line is, 3rd party non-casual games do NOT sell on the Wii. Having a larger install base is irrelevant in this example because a majority of the Wii's install base are casual gamers. How many copies did Fire Emblem sell? or FF Crystal Chronicles? or Dragon Quest Swords? KH3 will not sell as many copies on the Wii as it would on the PS3 or XBox 360. In Fact, no 3rd party game has sold more than 3 million copies on the Wii as of this moment. The PS3 has 2 (GTAIV, COD4) and the 360 has 3 (GTAIV, COD4, Assassin's Creed). The Wii may have a larger fanbase, but unfortunately the only games that sell big on the system are usually the 1st party Nintendo games. That's a fact that all 3rd party developers are well aware of.

Too bad the wii is outselling them both  together in japan. Why would graphics matter that much. Especially to disney.

Your post is all wrong. Oh and give me examples of these big non casual 3rd parties games on the wii that are as big as GtaIV CoD 4 or Assasin's Creed. Meaning they had as much advertisement and were built off hype.

That's a good idea put two consoles against one. Both having much higher developement costs, and far less sales in japan. OH and btw a game called Dragon Quest Swords(which sucks really bad) that is on the wii sold more copies in japan then any other ps3 or 360 game.

 

Oh and btw, the wii is increasing more than both the ps360 so by the time kh3 is planned it will probably hold 50%+ of the market and 70%+ of the japanese market.

Oddly enough Square-Enix is the only major third party developer I would ever expect to see put a major title on the Wii.

Agreed. Square Enix already said that the Wii, Ds , and PS3 are their main platforms. Now if they are treating a secondary platform(360) very good with some nice looking games, I can't wait until  I see how they treat the wii, and Ps3. I already am pretty sure that dragon quest X will go to the wii, somewhat sure about KH#(even though it's mostly disney's desicion)  and there will be alot of new francises from SE on it.

 

With the performance of the PSP as of late maybe they'll just put it on the PSP.
