I just read all of death note. And I'm tired of not having anyone to talk about it with.

Any thoughts about the Manga/Anime/Live Action movie?

In general, I liked how the plot basically followed the classic greek tragedy; complete with Gods messing with humans for fun. I also liked how it ended, as it follows the same arc as most other tragic heroes (though in this case Kira is the anti-hero). 

 I liked the near story arc for the most part, but I didn't like parts of the L arc, especially when Light was being held captive and when they had to take down the corrupt CEO or whatever. I think by then it was crazy turn after crazy turn after crazy turn where Light was like "well I planned for this, but then considering this, I did this, but knowing L will do this, then I will do this and this and this"

And Misa-Misa is the most annoying character ever. 

My favorite part was when Light had to go up against the Ex FBI lady.
I was at the edge of my seat, and had that spine tingling sensation right after the episode. I liked L's arc better than Near's though.
L had history, he was dubbed the best by everyone, so he had a certain air to him that made him seem like an impossible hurdle to overcome. Near and Mello were just start-ups.

OMG that part with Naomi Misora really pissed me off. The Ray Penbar stuff had me pretty convinced that Light was an jerk. But to kill off Misora like that pretty much solidified Light's jerk status for me. In fact, every episode just pissed me off more and more.

Yeah, Light still kind of pisses me off even months after finishing the series. He's such an ass. Lelouch from Code Geass is almost on the same level of asshattery as Light was.

It was a kill or be killed situation.
I liked Light, I was rooting for him the whole way.
His character never came off as a jerk to me, just someone with great ambition.
