If online play is much slower than it was in the first one (where everything is sped up to formula 1 car speeds...), I'll be more excited for multiplayer.
I want to see more on the online too because being able to go wherever you want to and having HUGE battles is what I like the most about Battlefield 2.

Sales figures of these games should be interesting. The install base for both consoles will be somewhat bigger this time round for Resistance 2, Gears 2 and Killzone 2 (When it's released in 2015)

Ok, graphics-wise I think it's Killzone, then Gears, with Resistance VERY close behind. But in terms of epicness (crazy online, multiplayer) so far I'll guess Resistance, than Gears than Killzone. But who knows, at least everyone gets good games, right? :)
I found a link to an HD Ted Price presentation that shows the R2 video. I know a couple of you were trying to find it. He takes about the the online community and how they want to expand their stats tracking. Then he takes about how the squads work during the 60player matches. The video is about 6mins long, the gameplay is around the half way mark.

Same here.. although what we saw of R2 is multiplayer, and a lot of time they reduce the visual quality.
Also the trailer you say from Grears was hand picked by the dev's. The others were just screen grabs with a camera of people playing. Take that for what it's worth.
(speaking of R2) It looks like they've taken a lot of stuff from other games (the honeycomb looking force field is almost identical to the oppressor's force field in Quake Wars), but, as long as the gameplay is good, I won't complain. What I really want for the game is keyboard/mouse support, but I don't think we'll get it :(

I didn't like that vid of the Resistance 2 multiplayer. Looked too busy and unpolished. I loved the multiplayer on the original, and I know how good Insomniac is as a developer, so I am not worried about what the final product will look like, but I wasn't too enticed by that vid.
