the only thing i spent money was on the cpu and ram tthe rest were all gift from my friends. They work at my local computer store and bought the mobo case gpus and power for 50% of retail price

you gonna upgrade your cpu because at my local store they are selling quad core q6600 for 150 without rebate
Why would someone fork over $1000+ for video cards alone?
Anyways, mine's not all that high. Last time I tested was with my 7800gtx, and it was 4 or 5k. I can't remember. My 8800gt would probably fare better, but my old (but still barely adequate) 3800x2 would drag the score down.

of course, QX9770 or better

| epsilon72 said: Using this as a comparison, if that truly is the OP's real score, he spent way too much on his computer.... (for instance, a QX9650 @ 4.6Ghz, 4Gb ram and THREE 8800 Ultra's only gets about 21700....) |
if you look there those people only have 1 - 2 gpus and they get 21000- 25000 so there must be something wrong

how much are you willing to spend
