...and France's market is the 4th in the world, etc, etc, etc. Who cares, I just hope that the European market will be seen as a single market one day, apart maybe from translation (I don't care about translation as I understand English but kids can't).

I care. And this is a site dedicated to discussions about gaming markets, sales trends, and other industry talk.

There's the door.

It's only a Union Jack if it's on a ship, otherwise it's the union flag.

Sony's Liverpool Studios who were once Psygnosis are obviously based in the UK (liverpool :P) they have created a lot. And one of the most famous games ever, Lemmings.

The UK games industry is meant to be our biggest entertainment export.

Hmm, pie.

And what about the UK music industry during the last 40-50 years?

Reginald Kenneth Dwight alone is supposed to have sold at least 250 mio. albums and 100 mio. singles, other sources even state more than 640 mio. copies of his works sold (album/single sales were & are hard to track).

I don't think I have to mention sale statistics of tiny bands like the Beatles or Pink Floyd if one UK artist alone (okay, not really alone, Bernie Taupin helped him a bit) managed to outsell the whole UK gaming industry in advance.

I may have just been pointing out to the less educated peeps here that you MUST be on a ship to have called it a Union Jack.

+3 brownie points to anyone who can tell me the full name of the UK.

I'm also willing to bet that sporting goods count much more to our exports than videogames. Well, they would, if they weren't all made in south-east Asia.

Capatalism for the lose.

That's far to easy in the day and age of the interwebs.

yes we spend all this time and money on gaming and we still get screwed over with release dates although not so much recently with getting MK Wii, Wii Fit and GTA4 all in one month.
