Forums - Microsoft - If M$ motion controller was true, will it shown in E3? What your reaction?

It will be no surprise to me if the 360 will have the motion controller shown in E3 though, but even Im a wii fanboy I just dont want MS to lose the console war just because they want to compete in downmarket with a gimmick. I mean, MS already have a big grip when core market was concerned, what they really have to do was just wait to SONY to be in far third and catch up with Nintendo when next generation comes. That way, there'll be a competition again but as for now, the Wii will win this console war.

end of core gaming days prediction:

E3 2006-The beginning of the end. Wii introduced

E3 2008- Armageddon. Wii motion plus introduced. Wii Music. Reggie says Animal crossing was a core game. Massive disappointment. many Wii core gamers selling their Wii.

E3 2010- Tape runs out

If the announce motion control, i will give them a chance, because it sound good to my ears. High definition gaming with sensor movements...

The description of the controller I saw reminded me of an air mouse. If that turns out to be true I will be thoroughly unimpressed for the most part.

I am SuperLloyd!

(Im)patiently awaiting the Dawn of the New World!

I'll buy one if it works with Halo Wars.

If it doesn't, screw it. I already have a Wii. All I want it for is RTS games and maybe a shooter or two.

isn't it more likely that MS would want to show this off at TGS (Tokyo Game Show) after all that could spike some intrest in the 360 from the Japanese market, plus TGS is now a bigger event than E3 in the gaming community.

My reaction would be one of thanking myself for holding out on a 360 and buying a launch PS3 instead.

PS3 since launch as lost 100% BC, while the 360 has gained HDMI, Motion control, and possibly blu-ray.

to introduce a motion controller at this stage would be pure desperation, virtually acknowledging they screwed up on their next gen strategy

Heeeeyyyy!!!! <Snap>

^ Even with the motion controller you really cant mimic playing RTS just as like in the PC so as playing it in FPS. I think thats the reason why the 360 sells feel stagnant these days, sorry for 360 fans out here. FPS just cant work in a console, and yet the 360 wants to release more FPS in a console that it becomes more of a porting station of PC. Call of Duty 4 was really a PC game then ported in 360 see what i mean?

Yet Sony fans are going apeshit over Haze - KZ2 - R2 - MGS4 all shooters or stealth shooters. Yet the Xbox360 has a shitstorm of good RPG/Action games coming out this year and you're going on about how FPS games suck on consoles? Oh yea even better! The Xbox360 controller is arguably better at shooters than the PS controller anyway.

Tease.
