lol hahaha. Sorry man but that is just funny in a morbid sort of way. Just as a heads up, MKWii hasn't messed up my Wii at all. :) hahaha.

GTA "bricking" PS3's isn't a wide spread problem, but there seems to be a fair number of PS3's freezing up or GTA not working. Mine froze up a few days ago, solved after a few deleting and reinstalling of game data/save files.

I've got a 40gb btw. I doubt it's an issue with the age of the console, maybe it's something in the game and it's a hit/miss for PS3 owners.

It's weird, I haven't read a review where they had these sorts of issues with GTA, I wonder if they (R*) did something between review and retail version being released to cause these problems.

It may be just me, but disc problems aside, I don't think GTA deserved a 10/10 anyway. If people complain about the hype of Halo 3, I'd say GTA 4's is at least double that.
