Don't trick boost.

Completely halt at it's edge (beginning of it) turn ~40 left then use mushroom.

Dial-Up = 2 hour load time.
Just do like a 10 second of clip of it if needed.

If you do it right, yes about 4-5 seconds in each lap. Very useful yet very difficult to pull off.
