Forums - Sony - A little too many delays, don't ya think?

Delays are there because they simply announce their products way too soon. Announce when it's 80% done instead of announcing when it's just started will help.

They don't really have a choice anyways. They had to announce all the promising stuff you are going to get so that you would buy their hardware now.

For as long as I can remember games have been delayed, its just par for the course. Difference is that over the years we as consumers have had more easily accessible information for games (

More games should be announced like Siren: New Translation.  It was announced, and only a week later a demo was released.

Good things come to those who wait (e.g. MGS4, GTA4).

Bad things happen to those who hurry and end up releasing a shoddy product (RRoD).

A new game costs between $40 and $60 these days. For that kind of money, I expect a quality product. If the studio needs more time, then let them take their time.

Big games get delayed all the time, not just PS3 ones.

Better late than crappy.

Most aren't delays, they are just estimated dates that get pushed back and people go nutz.

As long as the games I want to play don't get delayed, I don't care about these over-hyped shitty games like Killzone getting delayed.

This is very true, KZ 2 and Home didn't have exact dates, just estimates.

thirdly: we still got UT3 about a year before 360 so doesn't matter.

Since when does less than five months equal "about a year"?

It's coming out in less than ten days?

Thats the sign of a dying brand... problems and delays and more problems... they should have learnt by now that only the hardware is not the selling point in consoles.. rather harware is totally irrelavant on consoles it is just the software... and support of the third party...

It is bleeding too much and i think Sony is not going to stay in Console bzness for much, if they don't turn around things soon.
