Has anyone seen this movie? I'm still unsure quite what to think about it. Some of the moments were hilarious and I love the feeling the director was going for (using a bunch of retread actors to cheese out the movie a little) but there were moments that just didn't work very well.

Anyway, it's worth a watch if you're into slightly off-kilter movies. The Justin Timberlake dance sequence and The Rock's performance in particuar were very amusing. The intro to the zeppelin was fantastic, too. I adore extended steadycam shots that mingle through an environment.

That's the Richard Kelly movie, correct? I never had an interest in it after being thoroughly disappointed by Donnie Darko. How would you describe the genre it belongs in?

Honestly, I don't know how you would classify it. It's really a tongue-in-cheek apocolypse sci-fi movie, I guess.

I've been curious to check it out, but I've heard kind of mixed things about it. I may have to look around town and see if anyplace in this dump actually stocks it. I have an almost Pavlovian response to Donnie Darko, since it seems like 90% of the time when some random skank ends up back at my house after a night at the pubs, if we throw in a movie, they pick out Donnie Darko.

I'm the same as Fro. I wanted to see it but it never got picked up to get distributed in theaters. Unless it was like really really limited. I try to keep up with art house films. Would it be worth a rental? I really like The Rock and Sean William Scott's chemistry in The Rundown.
