Forums - Gaming - REALLY wanna post this topic, is ninjabreadman the new ET from Atari 2600?

@viper-----> have you re-played all those games again? I know you have played all those games before, but can you take to play those games again after the improvement thats done since 20 years? I know, ET sucks in atari 2600 generation but after 20 years and since Im not in your generation, most of those games feel or played no different it doesnt matter if it have good ratings before most of those games for me was the same.

So Im treating ET the same way, yeah, finding the parts of the spaceship was frustrating but atleast the gameplay was different than shooting blocky centipede and racing with time the same track over and over again.

There are many factors why the video game crash happened though, not only PAC MAN atari 2600 and ET.

And there are movie tie in games that as worse as ET. If not because of video game crash, which is starting even before ET came around, I think many people still play that game. And its not bad as people here thinks. Theres a gameplay to that thing. Its hard though but its not bad when Atari 2600 games are corncerned.

God, just stop posting. It's like you hear these ideas, make a few things of your own, mix them all together and then post random idiotic crap.

  1. Ninjabreadman is just a bad game. That is all. Did Bomberman Zero kill the game industry? No.
  2. ET was a major game tied to a major movie that had millions of copies printed only to have them thrown into fires of the still *very* weak gaming industry because it was beyond horrible.
  3. Pac-Man didn't not contribute to the near downfall of the gaming industry, it was something that helped it.
  4. The Atari 2600 was the legendary awesome machine, the 5200 was the one that was bad.

Seriously, stop making yourself look like an idiot and actually try to do a little research before you spew this kind of garbage again. I'm thinking of banning you just because I don't want to see this stupid crap anymore.

-edit-

The next time you think about making one of your threads, venture over to your local mega bookstore or Amazon and find this book. Once the book is in your hands read it. If you don't get it the first time, read it again and again and again.

I'm not even sure what he's trying to say now. First he says that Ninja Bread man will be the next E.T. Then he goes on to say that E.T. wasn't that bad and that it was just a small factor in the videogame collapse.

This guy really has no idea what he's talking about.

oh and twesterm, he's refering to the Atari 2600 version of pacman, which was almost as big a dissapointment as E.T. and is largely considered to be part of the problem.

Serves me right for challenging his sales predictions!

Bet with dsisister44: Red Steel 2 will sell 1 million within it's first 365 days of sales.

Ah, thank God.  I thought he was trying to say they were both on the level of E.T. and that's just infuriating.

OK, do you mean that ET have hundreds of million of dollars to make and manufactured because for a game to make the industry crash, the company will be on bankruptcy.

How many userbase does Atari 2600 before have anyway? Just asking since a few million games never sold cant create a company on bankruptcy. Please explain

Ugh, wait longer than 3 minutes to bump your bad thread. As for userbase, do your own research. Google is your friend.

Since you're here can you delete or lock this thread? I dunno how much impact et was in video game industry. i thought it was just a bad game that never in shelves during the video game crash.

Actually, it supposed to be Balls of Fury. If you considered it as a movie.

The only gratification you can get out of this game is when you pass right by it in the game aisle. Use the money you would have spent for far more gratifying ventures, like rehab. Because if you actually bought this game, I?m sure that?s exactly where you need to be headed.

With a few unlockable characters to its name that you can get in about two hours of play there is little to really keep you entertained here. Even a rental is too good for this.

It's been a good while since I've come across a game of this caliber, which is to say that I don't often see titles that suck this bad in this day and age.

A shrine to gaming incompetence. Arriving in the same month as "Galaxy" it's gotta take some balls to release something as totally inept as this and expect people to play it. [Christmas 2007, p.64]

Balls of Fury is already one of the worst games of the year. The storyline is uninspired and the boring gameplay and outdated graphics make this table tennis game a real disaster of a game. Parents of all minor Wii-owners: don't be tempted to buy this game for a reasonable price. Whatever the price might be, it will be too much for this terrible game.

Poor PS3 Sales Means Smaller Losses

"Actually, because the number of units sold was not as high as we hoped, the loss was better than our original expectation," Quotes from Sony’s CFO Nobuyuki Oneda.
