Would the Lego games be considered parodies?

Ehh...sorta.  Parodies usually make a ton of fun of another series.  There are humorous parts of the LEGO series, but I wouldnt really call it a parody game.

The Simpsons Game.

You win. This is the first game I thought of when I saw the thread title. It just came out, people...

Th Snorks were actually the cousins of the Smurfs. Smoehow. Even though they lived and breathed underwater and were a completely different species, and not created by Gargamel through evil magic.

Yet somehow they were cousin species or something, and I think had some crossovers where they kicked it.

Parodius is a parody game. It's like Gradius but, uh, a parody of Gradius. Kind of "same same, but different".

Beware, I live!
I am Sinistar!
Beware, coward!
I hunger!

At least 62 million Wii sold by the end of 09 or my mario avatar will get sad

Getting a good parody storyline would involve a developer hiring actual writers and not monkeys with typewriters.

Put out enough games with enough monkeys and sooner or later, one of them will turn out Hamlet.

So that's what EA's real strategy is...

EA is too cheap to hire monkeys.

 Talking about monkeys:

Ape escape 3 had some parody's of games:
