Why should I care about a metal toy? And why should you be blaming Walmart for selling it and not the manufacturer for making it, since if Walmart carries it then every store that caries a decent stock of toys also carries it. I would also like to see this article that you found out about this toy so I can decide whether I want to classify it under the rich person hating on Walmart file.

You should care about their promoting employees to use social services to supply health care. You should care about their aggressive union-busting while providing employees virtually useless benefits packages. You should care about their attempts to strongarm the music and publishing industries. You should care about their corporate strategy to enter small towns and wipe out all other commerce. You should care about a lot of things those bastard Waltons do to rural America.

I'm conservative and extremely pro-Capitalism. But Wal-mart? No. They're just wrong. The entire strategy behind the company is against every principle I can think of.

I wouldn't give Wal-Mart a nickel. I'll go to Target, best buy, Circuit City, etc before I'd go to a wal-mart.

If you don't like walmart, why do you like target?  I've worked for both and Target was worse by a country mile.

Target doesn't sell you iron-laced toys.. now do they?

Actually Target does sell iron-laced toys.  I am actually more worried about the lead - laced toys.  But you will find those at more places then Walmart.

If the state has such a loop hole in their social services to allow a business to use it like that, it is the states fault, not a companies for using it and all companies in said state should be using the loop hole.  Like I said, I worked at Walmart and I don't remember any useless benefit packages, I think an explanation is in order.  And why should I care that they are attempting to strong arm the music industry, the record companies have been screwing us consumers over for years.  Remember back when CD's first came out, they were slow and relatively (compared to now) expensive to make.  Now they cost virtually nothing to make and the price of CDs has doubled.  I live in a relatively small town, and the reason that "all other commerce gets wipped out" is because they over charge.  The mere presense of Walmart has forced other places to bring their prices to more reasonable levels and to do things to up their serverce to compete.  Being a former employee I know that they are not selling things (like food) for a loss, just small profits and then place things with high profits, like clothes, right next to the food.  While I was working there a customer told me she drove 100 miles to Walmart once a month because she could save $300 (after buying a tank of gas also) on her food.
