Don't tell me there was no Lag in the sales. It was slow, it took time before it reached 18 mil. Last time I remember PS3 was not even in the 10m barrier last year. It's about to reach 12 mil now.

It depends on when FFXIII and GT5 are released. If they make it out by early 2009, then the ps3 will pass up the 360 around then, but if they take too long, it will happen later.

I think that the ps3 will pass up the 360 by Q4 2009 at the latest, regardless of FFXIII and GT5's final release dates (unless they are suddenly canned or something).

Put me down for mid-2009. I expect FFXIII to hit sometime around Q2, and GT5 either Q2 or Q4.

And then there are the wild cards of FFVersusXIII, LittleBigPlanet, and Killzone 2. I expect LBP to start off slow and have long legs, but it could become a hit right of the gate, boosting sales this holiday. As for Versus, it really depends on the quality of the game and the release date. I think it will hit not too far after FFXIII.  And if Killzone 2 turns out to be a truly awesome game (It'll probably be AA, but it could happen), then all it'd need is a gigantic marketing campaign to do as much for the ps3 as Gears did for the 360 in '06.

Q2 09 i think just like it says in my sig and just like its said in my sig since a long time ago.

anything can happen by then to be perfectly honest. assuming that it's the ideal year, where the world doesn't change, the big hitters come when they're supposed to, and the console prices are at their current position, and holiday sales take their effect, then maybe mid 09. but in the REAL world, where prices change, delays occur, surprise announcements, and good old human irrationality affects anything and everything, i just can't tell. it's too far away.

people predicted the ps3 to be dead by now. you see how things change so drastically?
