If it's about installed base, another question would be : when will 360 reach the PS2 installed base. I would answer 'never' to that one.

Because if we're talking about installed base, PS2 is still by far the number one, Wii is not even close and 360 is irrelevant with less than 30 million consoles sold. (DS would not be bad, but it's a handheld).

The point is : the console with the biggest install base right now is the PS2, by far.

The console is not dead since gems like Persona 4 are still released on it.

The question 'when will PS3 will overtake 360 in installed base ?' is not that relevant since the 360 itself is not even first in installed base to begin with. It's behind Wii, PS2 and even far behind handhelds like the DS or the PSP...

What is sure is the PS2 is first and will be for a long time.

no just kidding, PS2 is last gen, and no its not still getting mass game support. Its actually really dying off. Sony is not "winning" this gen.
