Don't get me wrong, I think it's great they've worked to preserve the older titles, but I think it's disappointing to have gone 10 years from MGS5 to an MGS3 remake (which came a year after the remaster).
That said, I hope the future is bright for MGS. If they're really going the remake route I wish they would focus on the 2D titles.
