just wait and see dude, I'm saying no Wii for FF14, we won't know until E3 2009 or something probably... or does any one know whether Square has already stated something about FF14? I don't.. anyway.. we'll see..

That is why I say a 50% chance. It could go either way. Square could take the money path or the graphics path. I personally would choose the money path.

@RPG_Fanatic-When i say graphics, gameplay and story im referring to Blu-Ray and its capacity which will make the stories longer, the environments bigger and the PS3 has the most capable graphics engine when optimized so CG quality gameplay.

Ok, I understand now. The way you worded it made it sound like the story would automatic be of better quality, regardless of length, on the PS3.

@Stever89

"It's likely that FF will never go to the Wii, unless it bombs hard on the Wii"

I agree with your post except for this part. How can a game bomb on the Wii if it isn't made for the Wii?

for FF7 Square choose for CDs, that was a hardware decision to be able to do what they had in mind for the game, I don't think it would fit the main FF series to after FF13, of which Square says will be so stunning visually, to go 'back' to the Wii.. if they want more sales it would make more sense to release FF14 on the PS3 and 360.. both together will have a userbase as big as the Wii (or greater or just less), and the demographics might probably suite FF more.. FF14 going also too the 360 seems to me still much more likely than it going to the Wii

Yeah it will sell so well on the 360s million >/< user base in japan vs the let me guess 20+ million wii userbase in japan.

He didn't said that it will only be on 360.

Yeah I just noticed the bolded. Anyways It would be alot cheaper to make and probably would sell more on the wii. We also have to see how FFXII does.

Yea that story is very well told, had me angry at points, but enough of that.

Ajax no hard feelings, I like reading your comments, just wanted lols and you were on a roll.

FF13 will be fine on the PS3
Rev will be fine on both PS360
FFCC will be fine on the Wii,
but my money is going only the FFCC.

Not because I dont like the Ps360, but well, I just have bigger expectations for things thant "looks cool."

I remember when the developer said he didn't care about much other than it "looks cool."

That turned me off right then and there.

who said that and do you still have the text of that interview? cause it's easy to interpretate the Japanese wrongly.. FF7 looks cool too, just as MGS4 and GoldenEye and Ocarina of Time, and Call of Duty 4 and Gt5 etc. so when someone says they want it to look cool shouldn't set you off like that..

''Hadouken!''

so in other words, every developer wants it games to look cool, in Square 's case it's sometimes an understatement..

''Hadouken!''

oh and Ajax I'm going to point out that the logic your presenting is the same logic used
when the industry was like "lol" (in a bad way) when they realized the Wii didn't display in HD
and used a 750mhz power pc.

All of these people were so shocked their jaws droped and tounges rolled on he floor like a carpet.
Some of them rolled it up eventually, seems some of them are walking around like their tounge isn't dragging
on the floor behind them.

This generation seems to have been defined, who capitalizes depends on who's got the brains and the timing, so far
that's nintendo. The definition seems to be putting less emphasis on HD and 300 million polygonal displays with he latest morphing,
bump maping and shaders.

None of the tools in that last sentance make games, people do, I want the best devs
I couldn't care less what platform its on.

Oh and I already fixed that the FF13 dev who I care nothing about sucks anyway,
but I hope it's a good game so at least gamings image wont be mucked up by his retardation.

JRPGs - will be on the Wii, the proof is in the numbers, if you can't see it then oh well. I see a lot of love from Atlus, unless the japanesse devs start doing the Square tango and take the western market much more seriously.

''JRPGs - will be on the Wii, the proof is in the numbers, if you can't see it then oh well.''................ if you had followed the discussion, and you said you just reread it, so that's odd, you would have known the discussion was about FF14, maybe you want to re-reread it .. I already commented on other rpgs, and that they Wii's succes will certainly have an effect of many rpgs releasing on the Wii ........... so just like before when you implied I said the Wii can't show artwork, what's impossible as even my toiletpapers got artwork on it, you again imply something that I didn't state dude..

''Hadouken!''

I'm sorry I skipped the part where I state SE sets the trend for other JRPGs. (I know I know links or its not true) but you'll have
to forgive me as I'm on my PS3 and I can't bloody copy past urls and I refuse to type them.

So in the end after rereading your post I determined I could get a lol since from my knowledge the entire
idea was a big contradiction:

saying basically "JRPGS will be big on the Wii but the major JRPG company will focus their main franchise on the PS3,
which is approaching Xbox360 status in japan."

I'm addressing what your insinuations which ties in to your text, that's all, what I said is simply how I understood it.

There's nothing unique about my PoV so I'm sure someone else could come to the same conclusion.

It's basically that gutt feeling that you know somethings not right with that that person just said.
