Forums - Gaming - Do you expect the Wii to end up being THE JRPG console this gen?

I could careless where FF14 goes, I just want to hear why the Wii can't display "artwork".

I'm Unamerica and you can too.

every console can show art, newspapers too, the NES already showed artwork, so why would you want to make it like I said that?

Ajax, I just reread this thread to make sure I didn't miss anything.

Last thing I want to do is nitpick at things that don't express your main point.

You said above that SE (Square-Enix) requires essentially PS3 enabling visuals
in order to express their artwork, which can not be accomplished on the Wii.

I did say above either you were saying SE is inept or that the Wii isn't capable of artwork
to which you responded something along the lines of lets see where FF14 goes. Which
in turn insinuates FF14 going to the PS3 with the above logic being because SE wont be able
display artwork on the Wii, reason being because it can't.

I'm only asking for "lol" factor here and no one else seems to be doing it so I posted to get a "lol".

'Playing Okami atm (Picture in picture) which also is my inspiration for questioning your statement'

As for FF14 and 13 I can see if FF13 does what it has to and the Wii ends up with a User base above 60~70 million by summer ending 2009 FF 14 will be probably be mulitplatform between PS360.

Thats assuming the FF13 does meet budget and some on the PS3 - I know it sounds wierd but it make sense.

FF16 would probably be the only possible FF to appear on a Nintendo console. But who knows that's like light years away. (8 years)

@dib8man I also am starting to prefer the crystal chronicle games to the main series. FFCC:RoF for the ds was like 10 times better than FF12.

we will see if Square Enix decides to put Star Ocean 4 also on the Wii, the Last Remnant isn't coming..

And the ps360 aren't getting any of the wii rpgs such as fragile, king story, or ToS.

for FF7 Square choose for CDs, that was a hardware decision to be able to do what they had in mind for the game, I don't think it would fit the main FF series to after FF13, of which Square says will be so stunning visually, to go 'back' to the Wii.. if they want more sales it would make more sense to release FF14 on the PS3 and 360.. both together will have a userbase as big as the Wii (or greater or just less), and the demographics might probably suite FF more.. FF14 going also too the 360 seems to me still much more likely than it going to the Wii

Yeah it will sell so well on the 360s million >/< user base in japan vs the let me guess 20+ million wii userbase in japan.

just wait and see dude, I'm saying no Wii for FF14, we won't know until E3 2009 or something probably... or does any one know whether Square has already stated something about FF14? I don't.. anyway.. we'll see..
