Forums - Gaming - I really hate Jack Thompson

Here's the reason:

That, and this buffoon dumbass of a lawyer keeps on ranting about GTA and calling it a murder simulator. It's a game, not something a program that teaches you to kill.

What an idiot.

Didn't a court order him to not speak about GTA series? Well in any case that guys a real ass. He is making a living off of the real tragedies that happen from time to time by blaming video games.

I read this yesterday, seems like he has completely lost it now.

I can't believe some people don't understand why this series is so controversial and infamous in the media. Some of his points in the letter are overblown, but some of them are true.

I LOL at Jack's stupidity and ignorance to his fantasy of realism.

Such as?

LOL

That's not anything new.. Thompson's been on a crusade against gaming for a really long time.

The worst thing about it is when foxnews has him on every time there is a school shooting and labels him an expert.

Why? It's not like he's ever accomplished anything.

If you're going to make a game like GTA, you have to expect that you're going to be criticized. Lucky for Rockstar, they have an inept buffoon to monopolize attention.

My 10th grade term paper was on video game violence and its correlation to real world violence. I'm pretty sure I knew more about it then than he does now.

I wrote two papers concerning video game critics this semester, lol.

I would just advise that we not even bother talking about him because he's so full of himself, he'll most likely burst. In fact, I doubt anything he does is to be serious, but only to rile others up and get 'face' on the media.
