We kick off the vote with a fitting 3-3 tie in Dixville Notch, New Hampshire.

The voters:

1) GOP > Harris (didn't vote there in 2020)
2) GOP > Trump (didn't vote there in 2020)
3) GOP > Trump (didn't vote there in 2020)
4) GOP > Trump (didn't vote there in 2020)
5) Indie > Harris (voted Biden there in 2020)
6) Indie > Harris (voted Biden there in 2020)

Just voted straight blue in Pennsylvania. Probably the most seamless voting experience since I started in 2012.

I predict fairly clear Harris wins in Minnesota, Wisconsin, Michigan and Nebraska second district. Trump winning Arizona comfortably. New Hampshire, Iowa and Florida will be closer than the polls suggest, but I still predict Harris, Trump, Trump respectively. Pennsylvania, Nevada, Georgia and North Carolina will be nail-bitingly close, but I think Harris will grap Pennsylvania and Nevada securing 276 electorial votes.

I think there is going to be a lot of coping going on in this thread today. Not trying to be rude or kick you guys down at all, but I really do feel like many of you are being way overly optimistic about Harris' chances and what she's going to be able to pull off. We will find out soon enough though.

Good Luck America/Americans.

I'm feeling the nerves a little today, I may for the most part avoid the news as we won't know who has won until at least tomorrow for me, maybe even later. I think Harris has ran a brilliant campaign in the time she was given and there's not much I can criticise her on, it has been far better ran than Hillary in 16 and I'd argue even Biden in 20. Democrats ground game has been incredible and they've been in all the right states, they have sensible and well thought out policies which will benefit a far wider range of Americans than Trumps dumb fuck "drill baby drill" and "tariffs"

They've ran a campaign on looking to the future while Trump talks about dragging America back to the 1700s. They've ran a campaign of unity with Harris reaching out to Americans across the board from Democrats to Republicans, from all races and ethnicities, while Trump has continued to spread vile bigotry, sexism and racism towards everyone and the only group Trump has actually made an effort to appeal to is white males. This has been one of the worst ran campaigns I've seen in my history of watching both American and UK Politics.

If Harris loses it will be no fault of hers but on millions of Americans, likely not the majority as I expect her to win the popular vote but hey that's the shitty EC for you. America has a simple choice between a sensible politician who will look out for the needs of all Americans or a fascist. I've never followed an American election this closely before, not only because America is about to make a choice about whether to rip away more rights from women and delve further into hatred and bigotry but because this American election will have worldwide consequences.

This election will embolden other far-right governments outside of America, it will embolden Russia, it will tell us how much the fight for climate change has been set back, it will tell us if Ukraine loses the fight for its freedom. It's telling that practically all of America's allies want Harris to win while almost all of America's enemies want Trump to win. I really hope Americans make the right decision. Please don't elect a goddamn fascist, you're (I hope) better than that America.

So, Harris wins 100% of independents and 25% of registered Republicans. My God. It will be a landslide.

So who here is voting Kamala and whose voting Trump?

Kamala.  I'm a registered Republican and at the end of the day Trump tried to take over the country on Jan 6th.  I beleive in democracy and Trump, by definition is a deal breaker.

Good job being a sensible Republican that puts his country before his party, voting Democrat doesn't make you a Democrat in this scenario, it makes you a patriot. I hope if Trump loses that MAGA rot can be ripped out and we can just go back to fucking boring ass debates over capitalism or some shit. Lol. So fucking tired of these psychotic bigoted assholes like Trump, MTG, Vance, etc.

Next up will be the Guam straw poll.

Guam swung pretty hard toward Trump in 2020 (32 points redder) so it isn't predictive of anything except maybe small minority groups with socially conservative views and a focus on foreign policy (basically, Cubans and older Vietnamese, so irrelevant for swing states).

I'm sure that Hitler was just as loathsome before he became leader of Germany.   History seems like it may be repeating itself to an extent.  They actually have a lot in common.  Both may have been narcissists, but different types i think.  Both tried to overthrow the govt.  Trump did that with his jan 6 thing, and hitler had his beer hall putsch.

They were both disgusting with the imagery and insulting behavior continually shown in speeches.  Both wanted to make their nation great.  And both have a theatrical flair, b/c of their narcissism.  Even trump, though while more dry has a similar knack for imagery with things like body posturing to make that striking pose.
