You don't understand the question... I believe.

He was comparing Resistance sales in "Others" to Halo sales in "Others"

So would Resistance 2 continue the trend and outsell Halo in "Others"

I love it when people come into threads and haven't a clue what they're speaking on.

People are forgetting that, to this point, no Halo has received heavy bundling in others on either Xbox or Xbox 360.  Resistance was HEAVILY bundled by Sony with the PAL "starter pack."  I don't need to remind any of the Sony fanboys how well that sold.  I still remember all the ZOMFG LOOK AT DA POWERZ OF DA CELLZ IN DA PALS WITH DA STARTERZZZZ.

Well you guys can't have it both ways.  You can't say the game sold itself on high quality AND say that bundles shift PS3 units.

If Sony advertise this game enough, and show off the online abilities and the (what looks to be) amazing graphics, then i would not doubt that this game could be a system seller!

I mean people that do not have a PS3 at the moment that get one for this game will likely pick up the previous game also! Resistance will break the 3 million barrier, and for a launch title thats pretty good!

I actually don't remember the Starter selling that well.

Could you link me to how well that sold?

And also, if you want to discount Resistance sales due to downloading, lots of other games need to be discounted also.

According to this website, the PS3 started selling 20-25% higher after the starter pack in "others."  PS3 fans made a HUGE deal out of this at the time.

I agree, many heavily bundled games need to be discounted to an extent, like Motorstorm............

You realize that Halo was a launch game right?


When I say Halo great I mean the series and I am talking about Halo3. The one from the same generation as Resistance.

Of course, but FM2 was over a million BEFORE being bundled, and thats without being a launch game...........

 still how can it be a system seller if it is:

1. sequel to ps3 title

2. resistance 1 wasn't an AAA title it was just good game but not great.

3. how can you consider that people will buy a console especially for resistance 2 if they didn't bought one for resistance 1? 

system seller is when a game is selling a console not when console is selling a game so there is no way we can talk about resistance 2 as a system seller.
