Yeah, the rumble makes the game loads better. It almost made me forget the fact that it has no splitscreen.(I'm seriously not bashing Motorstorm; I love that game. I just wish the devs had put in splitscreen. Ah well, Motorstorm: Pacifica FTW!)

When the DS3 was first announced, Sony said that all 1st/2nd party games released prior to the DS3 would be updated with rumble.
