Newsmax mocks ‘terrified’ Fox News for avoiding the Epstein story: ‘Don’t want to p*ss off’ Trump | The Independent

Comey, who had worked in the U.S. attorney’s office for nearly a decade, prosecuted both Jeffrey Epstein and his associate Ghislaine Maxwell. Maurene Comey’s title at the U.S. attorney’s office was senior trial counsel. Most recently, she was part of the team that prosecuted Sean “Diddy” Combs.

Amazing. Brilliant timing. The Trump admin is so fucking dumb, Lmfao.

What next, Ghislaine Maxwell found dead in jail?

It's like they're intentionally adding fuel to the fire, Lmao. How can you not realise that maybe firing Maurene Comey right now is like the worst possible move and just makes you look even more like you're covering something up? Like Idefk for certain if there is some Epstein files out that which expose everyone (I'm leaning towards yes) or if the Trump admin just lied but damn if the Trump admin isn't doing their damnedest to make sure I do believe there is a file out there that they're trying to bury.

Columbia University adopts controversial IHRA definition of anti-Semitism

The embattled US university says it has formally adopted the definition of anti-Semitism promoted by the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance (IHRA), which classifies criticism of the state of Israel as anti-Semitic.

The move comes as Columbia carries out negotiations with the Trump administration to restore $400m in federal funds.

The IHRA, on its website, says manifestations of anti-Semitism “include the targeting of the state of Israel, conceived as a Jewish collectivity”. Examples of this, according to the IHRA, include “denying the Jewish people their right to self-determination, eg, by claiming that the existence of a State of Israel is a racist endeavour” or “applying double standards by requiring of it [Israel] a behaviour not expected or demanded of any other democratic nation”.

Experts and human rights groups say the IHRA definition is problematic because it conflates legitimate criticism of Israel with anti-Semitism.

In April 2023, more than 100 civil society organisations wrote to the UN urging it not to adopt the IHRA definition.

The group, which included Human Rights Watch, Amnesty International, and Israeli groups such as B’Tselem and Gisha, said the definition could be used to label as anti-Semitic “documentation showing that Israel’s founding involved dispossessing many Palestinians; or arguments, also made by some Members of the Israeli Knesset, to transform Israel from a Jewish state into a multiethnic state that equally belongs to all of its citizens – that is, a state based on civic identity, rather than ethnic identity”.

The group also noted that the example on “applying double standards” opens the door to labelling as anti-Semitic anyone who focuses on Israeli abuses, as long as worse abuses are deemed to be occurring elsewhere.

Even the author of the IHRA definition, Kenneth Stern, has expressed concern over right-wing Jewish groups “weaponising” it to silence critics of Israel.

And on the other hand weakening the actual definition of anti-semitism.

Kind of like the weakening of the term Genocide?

That still has the same definition since 1951:

https://www.un.org/en/genocideprevention/documents/atrocity-crimes/Doc.1_Convention%20on%20the%20Prevention%20and%20Punishment%20of%20the%20Crime%20of%20Genocide.pdf

Article I
The Contracting Parties confirm that genocide, whether committed in time of peace or in
time of war, is a crime under international law which they undertake to prevent and to
punish.

Article II
In the present Convention, genocide means any of the following acts committed with
intent to destroy, in whole or in part, a national, ethnical, racial or religious group, as
such:
(a) Killing members of the group;
(b) Causing serious bodily or mental harm to members of the group;
(c ) Deliberately inflicting on the group conditions of life calculated to bring about its
physical destruction in whole or in part;
(d) Imposing measures intended to prevent births within the group;
(e) Forcibly transferring children of the group to another group.

Article III
The following acts shall be punishable:
(a) Genocide;
(b) Conspiracy to commit genocide;
(c ) Direct and public incitement to commit genocide;
(d) Attempt to commit genocide;
(e) Complicity in genocide.

Article IV
Persons committing genocide or any of the other acts enumerated in article III shall be
punished, whether they are constitutionally responsible rulers, public officials or private
individuals.

And continued in the link

If anything Israel/Aipac try to change the definition of genocide to only be relevant after total extermination.

I'm sure that the ivy league schools are very protective against anti-semitism.  Jews are very intelligent so it comes as no surprise that an Ivy league school would presumably have more jews than average, and much rich jew donations.  So that's why you see this kind of thing.  I like jews though, i just tell it like it is.

Also, since Israel is the jew capital of the world, notice how they run their society so much better than the surrounding nations.  It's like the Planet of the Apes vs the humans but the jews are the superior ones.

Any nazis reading this will be pissed.  Anyway, have a good day Svenno!

A desperate Trump made an impromptu call last night into a right-wing news show, ranting about "naive Republicans" that believe the "Jeffrey Epstein hoax"

What does that have to do with changing the definition of anti-semitism to include criticism of Israel and its policies of apartheid and ethnic cleansing?

If anything conflating Juidaism with Zionism and Israel is stoking up actual Jew hatred. Hence you have so many Jewish protests against Israel's extreme Zionist practices.

"It's like the Planet of the Apes vs the humans but the jews are the superior ones."

That's a total racist remark.

And how is Israel running their society better with all that's been going on for 75 years... Their way of running their society has led to where we are now with a population indoctrinated to hate all Arabs, have no regard for lives on non-Jewish people, and is actively encouraging ethnic cleansing.

Btw did you know literacy in Gaza was higher than in Israel before Israel flattened the entire Gaza strip including all its universities and most of the schools.

"According to the Palestine Census Bureau of Statistics, the literacy rate across the West Bank and Gaza was 96.9% in 2016. According to UNESCO data, the literacy rate increased to 97.4% in 2019. These numbers place Palestine well above Israel, which has a 92% literacy rate, according to the same UNESCO source."

The higher percentage at Ivy League schools has many factors, mostly socio-economic. But what has that to do with stifling free speech and protests against genocide... That's what the altered definition is for. It's also targeting Jews that do not want to be associated with Israel's policies and far right Neo Zionism.

The changed definition is painting Jewish protests at Ivi League schools as anti-semitic.

Israel is splitting the US Jewish community, creating a growing rift between the younger and older generations.

Not racist, sir.  The palestenians are basically ethnic cousins of the jews, both are of the semitic people.  Neither comment was directed towards a particular race.  I was simply giving a tier of the semitic people, and they aren't a "race" either.  My family has many Jewish friends that frequently visit, and they all are very successful, doctors lawyers yadda yadda yadda.  The jews are God's people and he's blessed them with intelligence.

Then what do you call that if not a racist remark. Who are you referring to with Planet of the Apes vs the humans.

Calling one race (the jews) the superior ones is a racist remark. It's literally the slogan of Nazis, the master race.

It's scary how many parallels there are in Israeli society today.
