Still think Kelly is the safest and best pick for Harris, the biggest issue with Kelly is that he's a bit of a bland public speaker, Lol. Beshear also has the same issue Imo, he's a bit too soft. Walz and Shapiro are both way better, Walz in particular is so good at turning criticism back around. I think Kelly covers Harris criticisms based on politics alone and has better country-wide appeal based on his credentials and story.

The biggest issue with Shapiro is the settled sexual harassment claim from his office (not against him) but it will be instantly used against him and blasted everywhere, he is also very pro-Israel, maybe even more so than Biden, that risk fracturing the more left-leaning voters from the Democrat Party, again and puts Michigan a bit more at risk. On the flip side, Shapiro may secure them PA and he is very popular there.

Seems I've fallen victim to fake news.

Alright...That's actually way better than anything Biden has ever said and most Democrats...

Thanks for the correction.  And that gives me more hope for him as a VP pick.

Throws a spanner in my assessment of Kelly being the best pick.

Damn I fell for this shit so easily though, it's everywhere among left-leaning circles when it comes to Shapiro, will he be able to turn the narrative around? I'll admit I was wrong but many won't....Shapiro has actually given stronger criticism than dozens of Democrats and he clearly wasn't comparing all protesters to KKK based on the full quote but the narrative now is that he did. It wasn't something I was ever worried about personally because Harris will be in charge, she will set policy, not the VP, but the narrative concerned me about how it would turn away some left-leaning voters and Muslim voters, it doesn't matter if it's true or not if the narrative has stuck, I hope it hasn't stuck and the damage can be undone.

He's very popular in PA at least.

I've mostly been Kelly > Shapiro > Walz > Beshear

I fucking love Walz but I feel Kelly and Shapiro are stronger for the EC.

If this was a personality contest, Walz would be #1 for me, Lol.

Now Shapiro has increased in light of the news above.

I've had Sen Sanders as my personal first choice since Harris took over as the presumptive nominee but I know age and socialism will be easy fodder for the right.  He was followed by Mayor Pete but I know the country just isn't ready for that yet.

Kelly has been my practical favorite but Shapiro has been quickly moving to take that position.

Shapiro-Whitmer would make a great ticket. Let them run together in 2032 or something.

To my knowledge Kelly is basically squeaky-clean and a good balance for the ticket, let it be him.

I'd say Whitmer-Shapiro but otherwise I mostly agree

Shapiro would be a strong choice, still think Kelly is stronger but not 100% certain.
