The polls originally had her up by 20 points. That's a whole 10 point difference than the actual results. Even before the election, almost every poll I saw had here winning the state by double digits. It was a victory, but not nearly as good as most people were predicting, or as good as she needed for that matter. Also, Obama only outspent her 2:1. Still a large difference, but it was money well spent considering it probably played a part in halving her lead. Responding to your other post, I agree she could still win the popular. I added the "currently favored" just in case he ended up falling behind. Remember, though, that PA had a lot of Hillary support and was the biggest state left by a good margin. I don't see her getting nearly as many votes in upcoming states. As for Florida and Michigan, they both have their issues that need resolved. Michigan was an absolute mess considering Obama wasn't even on the ballot. Florida's a little different considering no candidate campaigned there. They need to reach some sort of compromise on what to do with those states. However, even if she was awarded the 38 delegates from the Florida results, she'd still be 100 delegates under. That leaves her requiring around 60% of the remaining delegates. I'm not saying a win is impossible, I'm just saying it's not very likely. |
WHAT????
Realclearpolitics had an average of her at 6% which included all the polls, right before the primary. Most polls had her at a single digit difference ahead of Obama. I dont know what polls you were looking at, but most if not all the polls from CNN to MSNBC and all the other media outlets had her at single digits and were spinning it to say that Obama is closing the gap and they are very close.
10% win is a remarkable BIG win for her and a big morale booster. Plus it shows to the superdelegates that Obama lost the blue collared vote yet again after Ohio, which is a needed vote to win this election. I have a feeling that John Edwards and his wife might sway to her now and endorse her, its just my feeling, dont beat me up for it lol.
And plus a victory is a victory, like Obama said 50 plus one is a victory.
I know its still a tough road for her ahead, but I admire how she fights back everytime they count her out and to me she is a stronger candidate.
Lets just see what happens in the next few weeks, it will be fun.
